ABOUT GLOBAL HEALTH EDUCATION NETWORK (GHEN)
GHEN has evolved from the ‘Ghana Mission’, a faith-based project lead by Ms. Doris Dansoa and other key church members from The View Church in Temecula. This project has been in place since 2004 and involved a collaboration between The View Church, Universities and Faculty Members, Key Community Stakeholders, and Key International Community Leaders.
Through established collaborative relationships with health care organizations, GHEN is uniquely position to provide unmatched experiential healthcare education and training opportunities in which international health students and professionals are provided with the opportunity to simultaneously work with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, Salvation Army and local public health officials in various countries. GHEN’s Global Health Experiences are suited for all health professions, including but not limited to medicine, nursing, pharmacy, health administration and all allied health professions. GHEN is committed to fostering a global environment in which there is a reciprocal and engagement of learning activities. Participants learn from, explore, understand and engage with the host country in order to gain an expanded knowledge of global health care, health disparities and the determinants of health, which can be applied throughout one’s career.
